Black Countrty Living Museum

After squeezing into the mooring at the Black Country Museum we went for a short walk.

During dinner onboard there were several rain squalls. After they passed through we had this wonderful sunset.

The next day off to visit the museum -

The Black Country Living Museum is a recreation of a town in the coal mining region of central England. Some of the buildings are actually relocated historical buildings. The museum has the same feel as Greenfield Village in Michigan.  It is located in Dudley, England. (Just like Dudley in the coal region of Pennsylvania; guaranteed there is a connection.)

Narrowboats designed for their original purpose – hauling materials and goods.

Blacksmith and foundry work

Village shops and stores.

The BEST original Fish and Chips shoppe, behind the double-decker bus in this picture.

Lots of old vehicles

Including this one for us that remember the 70’s and 80’s. It is a great place to visit!
