About the surprise at Gailey Lock

A few entries back I mentioned a special surprise when we passed through Gailey Lock. I was holding our boat below the lock while Charlene went ahead to get the lock ready, and if needed, help the boat that was coming down the lock.

Charlene is at the front (tan hat) helping the NB Inca down through the lock. 

As the boat exited the lock I recognized the front of the boat and looked at the name. Yep, it was NB Inca. Several years ago we met Gary and Carolyn when they helped us moor on the Ashby Canal. We have kept in touch through their blog. In fact I recommended the blog to some of you ( NB Inca ). 

We pulled along side and talked for a few minutes and Carolyn went back to get Charlene when she realized who she was. Picture taking ensued, as well as Carolyn offering homemade Damson Plum jam - YUMMY!
